About

Women In Business Academy (WIBA) is a one-stop launch-pad platform and growing community of like-minded female entrepreneurs from marginalised and vulnerable communities (students, primarily undergraduates + fresh graduates, displaced young women, ages 18-35 across Nigeria aimed at equipping members with business education/advisory, mentorship, market access, and capital required for business success.
WIBA’s mission is to promote an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem that enables economic development by equipping female entrepreneurs across Africa (beginning from Nigeria) to launch and scale businesses for employment opportunities and income generation.
WIBA started as a mentorship initiative (G7_Initiative) in 2016 which was aimed at raising emerging African female leaders through mentorships and events connecting 14 female undergraduate students(mentees) across Nigeria to seasoned professionals as mentors and reaching over 100 female students through the IMPACT conference. This mentorship initiative has now evolved into a one-stop platform and a growing community of like-minded female youth entrepreneurs.
